Unfortunately my Grandad died yesterday, after contracting Pneumonia and Sepsis on top of his Leukemia. Whilst he tried chemo and it worked, unfortunately the rest of his body was too damaged from the Leukemia to fight back against the chemo. I admire his stoicism so much, he really tried to extend his life for a couple of years even though he could have chosen not to. I can't help but think this was due to his late diagnosis and a generational fear of accepting help. I love you so much Grandad and everything you've done for me. I just wish you could have stayed healthy and with us for longer.
