Cancer is cruel and nasty. Macmillan offers support and care. Help them provide care for people with cancer, their families and carers
Other charities exploit people's heartfelt desire to find 'a cure for cancer' which the Royal College of Surgeons acknowledge would change lives at an individual level and yet do little to change life expectancy (see https://publishing.rcseng.ac.uk/doi/pdf/10.1308/rcsbull.2016.190)
Some CRUKs are in it for the money.

Agree totally about the ‘cancer industry’ while MacMillan (and a few other charities esp. hospices) deliver the care and support needed.
