I’m raising money for macmillan in remembrance of my granda who sadly passed away from the horrible disease on 11th August 2013. Charlie stepped up to be our granda because our real one wasn’t around and that gave me the true meaning that blood doesn’t make you family it’s those that show up, I miss making memories with him such as the fact we always called him a bourbon biscuit because he tanned so well, i miss that when we complained about having to walk he would do a funny walk to make us laugh and i miss all his jokes and his funny nature, I wish he was here to see me be a adult and father and I have carried Charlie’s name on in my sons name in remembrance. I started growing my mullet out in March and as soon as I seen that Macmillan where doing Mullet May-hem I knew it wanted to participate to raise money in remembrance of Charlie and hopefully give some little boy the blessing for their grandad to grow old and watch them grow as I wish I was that lucky.
